I don’t know about y’all, but I can seldom find my earrings when I go looking for them and it can be quite aggravating……
While in North Carolina last summer, Shan and I were at a huge flea market in the fairgrounds in Durham and we kept seeing these. The price they were asking for them was outrageous, but we did think they were cute.
When I got back home, I haunted the thrift stores till I found the perfect frames to use. These are so simple, don’t really take much time and just about any style frame can be used.
When I got my frames home, I painted them then sanded in spots to give it the distressed look.
Screening ( I used metal screening I found at Walmart, but you
can use vinyl screening)
Something to cut the screening ( I used wire cutters )
Once you have your picture frame, turn it over, and take all the staples (if any) out of the back and also from the front,(depending on the style of frame you use).
Flip the frame over and measure your screen. Cut to fit. Make sure you stretch it as tight as you can. As you staple each side, keep pulling it tight. If you are using wire screen, I suggest you wear some gloves as it is sharp!
And that’s about it. As you can see in the picture below, I added some wire dragonflies I had laying around, as my granddaughter loves her dragonflies!
