Now that Sarah had the attorney sorted out for Billy Ray, Mama and Miss Idora were onto their next adventure. Sarah was sure she didn’t want to know what it was. Those two wore her out just being with them for 5 minutes.
Sarah settled in on the porch with her coffee and watched the rain fall. It was lovely to be able to sit and not have to help Mama out of a mess or chase someone down for one of her charities, cook for Hubs or one of the other million things she did every day, all day.
Of course tomorrow it would be back to the crazy life. Her appointment with her SIL’s brother was first thing in the morning and she was so glad the end was in sight. It had taken almost a year but the trusts for the Grands was finally ready to be signed. Sarah smiled as she thought about how surprised they would be at what they would receive on their 30th birthdays. She hoped she was around to see their faces.
As the rain ended, the sun’s golden rays highlighted the last of the daylight. Maybe they could finally take that trip they’d been trying to take and just hear about Mama’s antics from Earl Ray.
As the phone rang she looked at it from afar and her brow furrowed as she saw the name on the screen. This couldn’t be good……Dorthea never called unless something was wrong somewhere……..
Today’s post is a writing challenge. This is how it works: participating bloggers picked 4 – 6 words or short phrases for someone else to craft into a post. All words must be used at least once and all the posts will be unique as each writer has received their own set of words. That’s the challenge, here’s a fun twist; no one who’s participating knows who got their words and in what direction the writer will take them. Until now.
Rain ~ Lovely ~ Afar ~ Daylight ~ Golden ~ Furrowed

Sit back, grab a cup and see what everyone else’s words were this month and where they went with them.
